\n\u2022 In 2018-2019, 22,669<\/span><\/strong> schoolchildren\u2019s screened in 60 schools throughout Armenia in cooperation with the Children\u2019s Hospital Los Angeles, of which 4,300<\/span><\/strong> referred to specialized eye clinics for detailed examination. Based on this initiative Sample survey done (5,994 schoolchildren) and vision impairment prevalence data among children aged 6-15 estimated and published.
\n\u2022 In 2022-2023, 25,000<\/span><\/strong> schoolchildren underwent eye screening in cooperaton with the USAID, using a new model of school screening and referral, and 1,200<\/span><\/strong> of them received further examinaton and treatment in specialized eye clinics, 800<\/span><\/strong> received eyeglasses.
\n\u2022 15,909<\/span><\/strong> children in the age of 4-6 screened in 205 kindergartens with AYO, 703<\/span><\/strong> of them received further examinaton and treatment in specialized eye clinics, 405<\/span><\/strong> received eyeglasses.
\n\u2022 6,670<\/span><\/strong> Books of Desunik, 1,200<\/span><\/strong> Desunik\u2019s Game of Sight and 20,000<\/span><\/strong> handbooks for parents were distributed at schools and kindergartens all over Armenia.<\/p>\n
